Re-cycling and Victorian Family History
The current spur to re-cycle as much of our waste as possible, as our landfill sites overflow with refuse, and our consumption of consumer goods that knows no bounds, is of course, nothing new. Anyone with northern roots, ancestors or family tree members from the northern counties of England, will know the saying "where there's muck there's brass"!. One man's waste has long been the source of another man's occupation, and in some instances, fortune. We may find our ancestors amongst them.
