A further Family Tree with a Mistress in it !
Following on from last month's 1891 census entry featuring a young lady described as the Head of the Household's 'Mistress', we can add the following from the 1901 census returns for Scarborough.You will see that this entry takes the 'Mistress' description one step further to leave us in no doubt as to the good lady's relationship to the Head. We have, in the house of Robert Grocock a retired tailor, one Louisa Stubbs, aged 31 yrs with three small children described as his Concubine!
